Record Breaking Electric Vehicle Journey

Posted: October 27, 2010 in EV Conversion, News

DBM Energy, a German company, has just broke the record for an electric car journey on a single charge. The converted Audi A2 travelled 372 miles on a single charge and still had power left. The vehicle runs on DBM Energy’s own developed batteries. These ultra-efficient batteries can be charged in nearly any socket, and will only take 6 minutes from a high voltage DC charger, so says inventor Mirko Hannemann. The below articles suggest the company is nearing mass production and that the batteries will be cheaper than standard Li-Ion.
